Thermage for Body

Thermage for Body is ideal for women and men who are not significantly overweight and are looking to minimize sagging skin and reduce circumference that dieting and exercise alone cannot seem to change. Thermage for Body can be used effectively to treat many areas including: abdomen, flank area, thighs, buttocks, arms, and legs. . It is most beneficial post-weight-loss, liposuction, and post-pregnancy.

Thermage’s Body Shape procedure is a non-invasive procedure that can help tighten and firm body skin with just one treatment, without surgery or injections and little to no downtime. Fight crepey skin, flabby skin and temporarily improve cellulite all in a single session.

During the Thermage Body procedure, the treatment tip simultaneously heats and cools the skin. It emits radio frequency energy to heat the collagen in the deeper skin layers while simultaneously protecting the top layers of the skin with a cooling spray. The heating action causes the collagen in the deeper layers of the skin to tighten immediately. In addition, it stimulates new collagen production, which further enhances the result.

The Thermage Body procedure can significantly tighten, firm skin, cellulite reduction, stretch marks improvement and shape the body in a single treatment without surgery, injections with little to no recovery time and patients can resume all of their normal activities almost immediately after leaving the office.

Who is a Thermage Body candidate?
The Body Shape procedure is ideal for men and women who are not significantly overweight and are looking to firm sagging and loose skin on the arms, legs, abdomen and buttocks. Results vary from subtle to dramatic. Generally, some improvement is immediately visible and continues for up to six months. Results are long lasting depending on your skin condition and the aging process

How does the Thermage procedure work?
The procedure works by heating deep collagen fibers in the skin and underlying tissue, while protecting the skin’s surface with a cooling spray. The treatment is performed with the ThermaCool™ device. A ThermaTip, attached to a handheld device, briefly touches the skin, delivering the non-invasive RF energy deep beneath the skin. This deep uniform heating action causes the deep structures in the skin and underlying tissue to immediately tighten. Over time, new and remodeled collagen is produced to further tighten skin.

How long does the Thermage procedure take?
The Thermage procedure is a completely non-invasive, safe treatment that is performed only in a doctor’s office. Depending on the size of the area(s) to be treated, the procedure may take as little as 30 minutes or up to two hours.

Is there any special preparation or follow-up regimen?
No. Unlike surgery, there is no pre-procedure preparation such as blood work or fasting. And there is no special care required after treatment, aside from basic skin maintenance and sunscreens as part of a regular skincare regimen. Since the Thermage procedure has little to no downtime, most patients return to their regular activities immediately following treatment. Some patients exhibit a temporary redness or minor swelling after treatment, but this usually goes away within 24 hours

How many treatments will I need?
Unlike many other procedures requiring four or more sessions, a single Thermage treatment produces results in the majority of patients. Dr. Radmila will determine the course of treatment that is right for you, based on your needs and goals.

What does Thermage treat?
Thermage procedures can effectively and safely treat fine lines and wrinkles on most body parts, including the face, neck, eyes, tummy, arms, hands, thighs and buttocks. Thermage can also smooth uneven, dimpled skin on the body and temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite.

When will I see results?
Immediate results are visible, and improve over time. Measurable tightening and contouring improvements appear gradually over a two to six month time period following a single treatment session.

What does the Thermage procedure feel like?
Each time the treatment device touches your skin, you’ll feel a brief cooling sensation, followed by a deep but brief heating sensation, followed by another cooling sensation. The heating sensation is a sign that the deep layers of your skin are reaching effective temperatures for collagen remodeling. If your doctor has the latest Thermage CPT technology you’ll also feel a gentle vibration sensation for added patient comfort. Throughout the procedure, your physician will ask for feedback on the level of heat sensation to help balance your comfort with maximum results.
